Carlos Alcaraz defeated an injury to Lorenzo Mosety 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 to win Monte Carlo’s final on Sunday (April 13, 2025) and win his sixth Masters 1000 career.
Alakaraz traveled his first Monty Carlo Trophy and his 18th Tour Level victory. After the victory in Monaco, the 21 -year -old Spaniard will reach number 2 in the world rankings.
Mosi started showing signs of injury to the right leg in the third set and treated at 0-3. Playing in his first Masters 1000 finals, the 23 -year -old Italian had difficulty in walking and continuing with Alakaraz towards the end of the match.
“This is not the way I want to win the match, I’m really sorry for that,” said Alakaraz. “It’s just happy that Monte Carlo won for the first time. It was a really difficult week, with very difficult situations, I’m really proud of myself how I treated everything.” Alcaraz has struggled in this year and he was damaging David Gofn in Miami.
