New Delhi: All -rounder Xer Patel has become India’s highest bowler in the latest ICC One Day Rankings After breaking the top 10 bowler list. Patel, who recently took four wickets in India’s new Zeland One Day series, is ranked ninth, while leg spinner Amit Mishra has occupied 25 places for the first time in his career to enter the top 20.
Mishra, with 15 wickets in the New Zealand series, was also decided as the Man of Series, with South Africa’s Dale Steyn participating in the bowler ranking 12th.
The other Indian bowlers who have made progress in the bowling chart include Peaceman Amish Yadav and young Jasprit Bumra. Yadav’s eight wickets in the series took him to 35th, while Bumrah went to 29 runs to secure his career’s best 57th position.
New Zealand’s Peaceman Trent Bolt has continued the leadership of the bowler, followed by West Indies’ Sunil Narine and South Africa’s Imran Tahir Tahir in third.
Although Indian bowlers have enjoyed their stock rise, the matter is not the same with their batsmen. India’s openers Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane have fallen in two places, ninth and 20th respectively. Although Virat Kohli, the most important run of the run with 358 runs, is the second best behind ABD Villiers, it has reduced South Africa’s lead by 48 to 13 points.
In addition, India, led by Ms Dhoni, has also reduced its three-point difference with New Zealand after winning the series 3-2 to just one point, but no change has been made in the third and fourth, respectively. Australia, with 118 points, is the leading team of the ODI team after South Africa.
