New Delhi: International Kabaddi Federation (IKF) President Vinod Kumar Tiwari told PTI that the ban would be lifted after an executive council meeting next month.

The IKF banned the amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) in July last year when the ‘selected institution’ was not allowed to charge.

However, the SC Division Bench had made it clear that it had not yet recognized the selected organization of the federation, but they were approved the order to allow Indian players to participate in the scheduled senior Asian Kabaddi Championship -2025 in Iran from February 20 to 25.

The top court approved the order after two national kabaddi players – Priyanka and Pooja, who directed Akifi to send it to the Asian Kabaddi Championship in Iran.
