Indian men’s football team head coach Manolo Marquez was apparently shocked and upset after occupying a goal near Bangladesh near Bangladesh at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong on Tuesday.
Bangladesh had the opportunity to take the lead quickly when goalkeeper Vishal Keith’s clearance reached a Bangladeshi player, but the midfielder shot only hit the side net.

Team India’s head coach looked angry and saddened by his team’s performance.

“We played a bad game and that’s all. In the second half we tried, but not enough.”
“I am very angry, disappointed with everyone. I don’t have words for this poor performance.
He added, “Liston was a positive on the left but it was not enough. It is not enough. It may be the reality of Indian football.”
Manolu was not in the mood for counting, as he told him, but emphasized the facts.
He said, “Many important players – Starters are not here because of injuries, but this is not an excuse. Even if we were playing good football, we will still need to improve all fields.
He added, “Some players came after playing just two days ago, while others did not play in a week. The physical condition is not the same for everyone. But once again, that’s why we played badly.”
India will definitely provide the opportunity to start the final round Group C match of its AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifier with a win, as the group, Singapore and the other two teams in Hong Kong also scored a goal.
Blue Tigers travel for their second match, going to Hong Kong on June 10 later this year.
